Applications and media expert Jason Armitage has joined Yankee Group as a Senior Analyst on the Anywhere Consumer research team in Europe.

He brings more than 10 years of consultancy and research experience in media and consumer markets, most recently from IDC where he was a consultant on qual custom research including studies of digital video, digital audio, gaming and the connected home. Before IDC, he was a strategic consultant for Euromonitor, working on competitive analyses and on marketing and branding strategies for mobile, media and IT clients.

At Yankee he will focus on the current radical changes in consumer applications and media, including new product and service innovation, emerging business models and market forecasting around access devices, applications, digital media and advertising.

Research VP Declan Lonergan says Armitage brings ‘a wealth of experience and a thorough knowledge of the European market’ and will be ‘a terrific asset to the consumer team’.
