Katherine BlackRetail research and brand specialist dunnhumbyUSA has promoted Katherine Black and Milen Mahadevan to the post of Senior Vice President, Client Solutions, while Mark Schmid has been named Vice President of Client Insights.

dunnhumbyUSA is a joint venture between Cincinnati based grocer The Kroger Company and London based dunnhumby – the data firm behind the Tesco Clubcard loyalty scheme. Established in 2003, it has grown to $200m revenue in five years.

Black (pictured) joined the firm in 2006 from Fifth Third Bank, where she worked as VP Direct Marketing, Analytics and Research. Prior to this, she was a Business Manager and Analyst at Capital One, and worked in Corporate Finance for Wachovia.

Mahadevan – who has worked for dunnhumbyUSA for the past ten years – previously served in a variety of roles in the manufacturer business line, and was Global Solutions Director for the Best Buy account. He holds both a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Imperial College London.

In her new role, Black will lead the solutions team for The Kroger Company and the manufacturing practice sector, while Mahadevan will be responsible for consumer market clients and new business initiatives.

Schmid will be responsible for directing dunnhumby’s engagement with Best Buy in the US and Canada, and for recruiting, leading and growing the client team across the US, Canada and India.

In addition, Keven Logeman has been named Vice President of Global Human Resources Operations, and Joe Conte has been named Vice President of Communications and Media.
