In the US, business advisory firm ES Research Group (ESR) has appointed Tony Monterastelli as Research Analyst, where he will apply his journalistic experience to conduct unbiased research, evaluate sales training companies, and produce reports on sales training issues and trends. Based in West Tisbury, MA, ESR offers independent research and advice on sales performance improvement programs and the companies that provide them. The firm’s team of analysts and consultants is led by Al Case, a former divisional president at Gartner. Monterastelli joins with extensive knowledge of the sales industry. Most recently, he served as Editor of Velocity, a journal focused on strategic, global and key account management published by the Strategic Account Management Association (SAMA). Earlier in his career, he was a financial writer for Standard & Poor's, and served as a staff writer at a variety of daily newspapers. ‘Tony and I have collaborated in the past,’ says Dave Stein, ESR CEO. ‘I found that his intelligence, skills, and knowledge were aligned with the personnel competencies that have taken ESR to where we are today.
