Paul McCarthyIn the US, the Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA) has appointed Paul McCarthy as Vice President of Research, Planning and Member Services, and Member Satisfaction.

The body serves manufacturers of aftermarket components, tools and equipment. McCarthy joins with 14 years’ experience in the automotive sector, primarily gained at Pricewaterhousecoopers (PwC), where since 2006 he served as lead of the Automotive and Industrial Products Strategy Practice. Prior to this, he headed PwC Germany’s Automotive Strategy practice; served as an executive in PwC’s Management Consulting and Transaction Services practices; consulted for Ford on future product programs; and led global analysis for vehicle and market forecast service, Autofacts.

In his new role, McCarthy’s responsibilities include planning and execution of market research programs for AASA’s supplier members, and implementing business intelligence initiatives.
