Peter DeNunzioIn the US, Groupe Aeroplan - the owner of the Nectar loyalty card scheme - has appointed Peter DeNunzio as President, US Customer Loyalty in its Carlson Marketing unit, with responsibility for the loyalty practice across five US offices.

Groupe Aeroplan owns Aeroplan, Canada’s coalition loyalty program; Carlson Marketing, an international loyalty marketing services provider headquartered in the US; and the UK-based Nectar scheme. The firm also owns Nectar-founder LMG Insight & Communications, which enables it to access the shopping details of tens of millions of UK households.

DeNunzio joins with more than 25 years’ experience in marketing, advertising and direct-to-consumer programs. Most recently, he served as President of the New York office of Draftfcb, prior to which he held a number of leadership posts within The Ogilvy Group.

‘With Peter at the helm of our US Customer Loyalty organization, we’re making a strong statement about our commitment to growth and innovation,’ states Jeff Balagna, President and CEO of Carlson Marketing, to whom DeNunzio will report. ‘We’re seeing a lot of interest from top talent who want to play a role in accelerating our growth.
