In the UK, Ipsos MediaCT Senior Director John Carroll has been elected as Chairman of the Media Research Group (MRG), a post he will hold for two years.
The MRG was formed in 1964 as a forum to discuss media research issues. The organisation has an elected committee taken from across the UK industry, including owners, agencies and suppliers.
Carroll, who has nearly 20 years’ experience working solely in media research, comments: ‘The MRG serves its members through offering networking, conference, education and social opportunities. It’s a fascinating yet challenging time to be involved as researchers grapple with topics such as mobile, engagement and cross-media exposure in a post-recession world.’
