Owen MaybankRecycling and resource management firm SITA UK has appointed Owen Maybank to the new role of Head of Customer Insight, and promoted Louise Earnshaw to the position of Customer Insight Manager.

SITA UK, which was established in 1988, currently employs more than 5,500 people. The organisation delivers environmentally responsible waste solutions to 12 million residents and 40,000 business customers across the UK.

Owen (pictured) joins from TNT Express, where he served as Head of Business Insight for the UK and Ireland for more than five years. Before this, he was Competitive Insight Manager at Barclays, and a Marketing Analyst at Veolia Environmental Services UK.

In his new role, and as a member of the management board, Owen is responsible for providing direction regarding market intelligence gathering and development.

Earnshaw has been with SITA UK for eight years, during which time she served as Business Intelligence Manager, defining market and competitive intelligence. Before this, she served as a Research Manager at business research and market analysis specialist Frost and Sullivan.

Commenting on the creation of the new team, CEO David Palmer-Jones said: ‘Our priority is to offer what customers want. I am delighted to have Owen join our management team and believe his extensive experience will assist in the coordination of the development of a series of new purpose-built offers for our customers.’
