Sampling, data collection and survey analytics company SSI has announced the appointment of Derek Nash as Country Manager for Australia and New Zealand. The new SSI is the product of the merger of Survey Sampling International and Opinionology (formerly Western Wats) in June, which was finalized this month. As well as sample and survey services the company also offers questionnaire design consultation, programming and hosting, data processing and real-time reporting. Nash is tasked with strengthening SSI’s position as a provider of these services in Australasia. He brings fifteen years’ experience in market research. Prior to SSI he served as General Manager at Netway Networks, an IT consulting, support and web services company, and before this he was Group Director Australia and New Zealand for GfK. He has also worked at ACNielsen, where he served as Marketing Manager.
