Paris-based Schlumberger Business Consulting (SBC) has opened a new office in Moscow, and expanded its operations in Beijing, the UAE, Singapore, London and Rio de Janerio with the addition of six Vice Presidents.

Launched in 2004, SBC works with global energy leaders and many of the world’s IOCs, NOCs and independents to offer energy sector management consultancy.

Its new office in Russia is led by Tamas Seregi, who was previously Partner and MD at Boston Consulting Group’s Moscow office, where he led the energy practice. Prior to this, he worked as a country Representative in Romania for the Hungarian oil and gas corporation MOL.

In China, Min Cao has joined from Bain & Company, before which she held senior roles at PriceWaterhouseCoopers and the Boston Consulting Group. During her career, she has gained project management experience across various sectors in Greater China.

Friedrich Portner has joined SBC’s Abu Dhabi office, from Roland Berge Strategy Consultants in the Middle East, where he focused on the oil, gas, chemicals, steel, construction and materials industries. Earlier in his career, he worked for Booz & Co in the firm’s Middle Eastern energy practice.

David Rabley has taken up a role in SBC’s Singapore operation. Most recently, he served as Director at Accunomics, and before this he was an Associate Principal at McKinsey & Company, where he led the Global Energy and Basic Materials Practice.

David Williams has joined the firm’s London office from Deloitte Consulting, where he worked for national oil companies, based in the Middle East. Prior to that, he led Deloitte’s management consulting services for the energy infrastructure and utilities industries in the UK.

Finally, in Brazil, Alan Trench joins from McKinsey, where he was an Associate Principal focused on oil and gas, energy and basic materials across several international markets Prior to that, he worked for TOTAL, in charge of initiatives across the commercial, accounting and business development divisions.
