Luba KassovaIn the UK, medical charity Cancer Research has appointed former BBC researcher Luba Kassova as its first Head of Consumer Insight, to develop a team delivering insights which will influence decision-making across the organisation.

Kassova previously served as BBC Head of Audiences, where she put in place processes for consumer monitoring across all digital platforms. Prior to this, she was Head of Consumer Insight at BT Vision, and held research roles at Sparrowhawk Media and Discovery Communications.

In her new position, she is responsible for ensuring the charity responds to the needs of existing and potential supporters, and for leading the development of fundraising strategies.

She reports to Cancer Research’s Director of Strategy Nick Grant who comments: ‘Luba’s role will be instrumental in helping to support our fundraising initiatives, ensuring that new campaign ideas are tested and researched effectively. This is vital in helping to ensure that the charity’s campaigns reflect the needs of our supporters which in turn will help the charity to raise vital funds for its life saving work.’
