Janet SneddenIn the UK, marketing analytics specialist Metametrics has appointed former Wunderman Director of Data Janet Snedden as CRM & Data Strategy Director.

Launched in 2007 by former Kraft Foods European Analytics Director Tom Lloyd, Metametrics applies Bayesian and hierarchical modelling techniques to extract value from data, and also offers pricing and promotional analysis and customer profiling.

Snedden joins from marcoms agency Wunderman, where she had led the firm’s data strategy since December 2009. Prior to this, she was MD of Cello-owned Tangible Data and Global Programme Director at data and analytics specialist Euro RSCG 4D. Earlier, she was Chairman of marketing consultancy Ginger Pig and Principal Consultant at direct marketing agency Brann. She began her career working clientside at Grand Metropolitan Brewing, before becoming a Product Manager at SmithKline Beecham.

Snedden says her new firm has identified that the market for helping clients fully exploit the value of data is ‘underserved’ and aims to help businesses simplify their marketing investment decisions.
