US media and information company ContentNext Media has hired newspaper industry analyst Lauren Rich Fine for its new post of Research Director, responsible for authoring reports on the digital media industry. Most recently, Rich Fine was MD in the Economics & Securities Research Division at Merrill Lynch, where since 1988 she had analyzed the publishing, information, advertising and online industries. She will continue in her role as a practitioner in residence at Kent State University’s College of Communication and Information, where she teaches and is helping the school develop its curricula to serve the changing media landscape.
