In the US, MR offshoring firm EmPower Research has appointed Gene Shippey as Director of Sales (East). Shippey has more than twenty years’ experience in sales and leadership positions. Before joining, he served as Director of Business Development at retail solutions firm Agentrics. Prior to that, he served as Senior Director of Business Development at GS1 US, Regional Sales Director at MediaMap, and VP of Sales at Storage Engine. He has a BM degree from Arizona State University. ‘Gene has an excellent track record in sales and we are very pleased to have him on board,’ said Debjani Deb, CEO and Managing Partner. ‘His experience will allow him to contribute towards our growth in many ways.’ Shippey is based in the New York area and will lead the firm’s sales operations in the Eastern United States. Earlier this month, the firm appointed Niraj Dube as Vice President of Sales for North America, based in Atlanta, Georgia.
