Andrew BlackerIn the US, cinema advertising firm Screenvision has hired media marketing executive Andrew Blacker as its new Senior Vice President, Marketing and Research, to develop and execute its marketing strategy.

Blacker joins with nearly 15 years’ experience in the media and marketing fields. Most recently he was Vice President, Discovery Communications, Commerce Division where he oversaw marketing, online/offline promotions and new business strategy and development. Before this, he was Director of the AOL Networks Marketing and Strategy group and Vice President, Sales & Marketing at Ebrick.com. Blacker started his career at Hearst New Media & Technology, after graduating with a BA in English and Small Business Development from Cornell University.

In his new role, he will report to Michael Chico, EVP, Ad Sales and Marketing, who comments: ‘In selecting Andrew to help lead our marketing activities, we have added to the team a creative media marketing talent who has an impressive track record developing revenue-generating programming and promotions in the digital space.’

Headquartered in New York City, Screenvision provides national and regional advertisers with on-screen advertising, in-lobby promotions and integrated marketing programs through its offices in New York City, Chicago, Detroit, Kansas City and Los Angeles.
