Ebiquity Revenues Up 17% to £24m

UK-based media and marketing analytics firm Ebiquity has reported a 17% increase in revenue to £24.0m for the six months ended 31 October 2011, with organic growth of 6%. Operating profit rose 75% to £2.51m from £1.44m.

Michael GreenlessFounded in 1997, North Tyneside-based Ebiquity - formerly Thomson Intermedia - offers media auditing and marketing effectiveness services, as well as competitive ad and news monitoring.

In October, the firm acquired Australian media analytics consultancy Falkner Media Management (FMM). Also in 2011 it strengthened its presence in Russia through the acquisition of a 50.1% stake in its media practice partner, The Joined Up Media Company (JUMC), and bought reputation specialist Echo Research, which has offices in London, New York, Paris and Singapore. Three quarters of group revenue now comes from international sources.

Additionally during the period, the firm's analytics division reported organic growth of 16% compared to the same period last year, and more than 51% growth overall.

Michael Greenlees, CEO, commented: 'These results not only reflect the growing demand for data-driven insights that help our clients better manage their media and marketing performance, they also point to further improvement in operating efficiency following last year's acquisition of Xtreme. We believe that our clear-sighted strategy can insulate us from the worst of the economic storm, and are confident that our growth strategy of 'adding value to data' will continue to deliver in 2012.'
