Ipsos Buys Michigan's RDA Group
Ipsos has announced the acquisition of US-based RDA Group, which specialises in quality tracking and customer satisfaction studies for auto manufacturers and other corporate clients.
 RDA (Research Data Analysis, Inc.), founded in 1969 by Tony Pietrowski and currently led by his son Donald, is headquartered in Bloomfield Hills near Detroit, and has 180 professional staff. In February, the Group announced 2014 revenue of $23.8 million, up 14% year-on-year and up 60% over the last five years.
Ipsos says the buy will boost its presence in the US, and give it a 'much stronger footprint in the automotive industry', and that RDA's quality-measurement and reporting platforms will strengthen its existing syndicated club-studies. RDA is also known for integrating data from multiple sources including survey returns, proprietary client-specific processes, product and engineering metrics.
