Toluna Adds Concept Testing and Video Hosting to QuickSurveys

Online community and survey tech provider Toluna has added new concept testing and secure video hosting features to its DIY survey platform QuickSurveys.

Phil AhadFully integrated with Toluna's global community of nine million consumers, QuickSurveys allows non-research specialists to create short, targeted surveys which can deliver thousands of responses to up to fifteen questions over a period of 24 hours. Last year, the firm received a $10m investment from its holding company ITWP Acquisitions, for use in promoting the QuickSurveys platform.

New features include random assignment to allow concept testing without bias by randomly displaying blocks of concepts (including text, videos, and images) and/or questions. The tool also now offers secure video hosting, to enable users to upload protected video content to their surveys, and to ensure that respondents watch each video from beginning to end before proceeding.

Phil Ahad (pictured), SVP of Digital Products, comments: 'These updates are setting the stage for a multitude of fully-automated survey tools like PowerConcept, a concept testing platform coming this summer to QuickSurveys. Users will complete a few prompts, the survey is built on the backend in real-time, they select their target audience, and instantly they'll be able to understand the overall strength of their brand/product/advertising concepts against competitors, or other concepts of the same brand.'
