Toluna Debuts Online Polling Tool

December 9 2008

Panels and software firm Toluna has launched a new polling service that enables companies to launch online surveys, access its panel community, and receive real-time poll results 24/7.

Its new QuickSurveys platform is an on-demand solution, offering the ability to run short, targeted surveys which can deliver thousands of responses to up to five questions over a period of 24 hours.

Once created, the tool appears instantly on specific areas of the firm's social voting communities site, and sponsored polls are shown alongside polls and discussion topics posted by members of the community.

In addition, Toluna says that the system can supply a nationally representative view of a survey's results via a patent-pending weighting process based on sex, age and region along with a number of other parameters based on answers from other surveys in which the members have participated.

CEO Frédéric-Charles Petit commented on the launch: 'Toluna QuickSurveys are designed to offer a simple and efficient online research solution for every business, from large consulting, marketing and PR agencies and corporations through to small and medium-sized businesses.'

The first version is being launched simultaneously in four countries: the UK, France, Germany and Spain.

Toluna has built and manages a panel community of over 2.5 million active members across 30 European and international countries. The firm was recently named the fastest growing company in France by the publication 'L'Entreprise'.
