Adobe Man Joins mParticle as Chief Revenue Officer

App Data Firm mParticle has hired former Adobe exec John Sedlak as Chief Revenue Officer, overseeing global sales, solutions engineering, partnerships and 'customer success'.

John SedlakFounded in 2013, New York-based mParticle provides a platform which helps mobile app developers collect, organize and synchronize data from mobile web and apps; and design and run personalization campaigns. Each month, the company manages over one billion mobile users on its platform, capturing more than $5 billion in eCommerce transactions, and processing over 250 billion API calls. In September, the firm raised $35m in a Series C round of funding, which it is using to roll out its IDSync enterprise-level identity resolution offering.

Sedlak (pictured) joins with more than two decades' experience of building and leading sales organizations. Most recently at marketing software giant Adobe, he was VP of the Audience Management division, before which he worked for location-based data platform PlaceIQ as Chief Revenue Officer. Earlier he was SVP of Global Sales at audience targeting platform BlueKai, becoming VP of Sales for the Oracle Marketing Cloud when the software giant acquired BlueKai.

Commenting on the appointment, mParticle co-founder and CEO Michael Katz said: 'Customer data platforms are completely transforming the way that brands think about unifying marketing and customer experience across channels and partners. Adding an experienced executive like John to the team will help us keep pace with market demand within the enterprise and beyond'.

Separately, the firm has also appointed Kiran Hebbar as Chief Financial Officer, Will Rogers as Chief Information Security Officer, and Aurélie Pols as Data Protection Officer.
