respondi MD Jennifer Roberton is New MRBA Trustee

In the UK, industry charity the Market Research Benevolent Association (MRBA) has appointed respondi MD Jennifer Roberton as its new trustee responsible for marketing, replacing Sue Robson who has retired.

The MRBA provides financial support and advice to people who are working or have worked within the MR industry, regardless of their title, level or role. Since 1977, it has helped hundreds of people and their dependants experiencing financial difficulties due to illness, injury, bereavement or other personal problems, and last year it launched a bursary programme called MRBA Skills, offering financial help to researchers new to the industry, and others eager to improve their skills and enhance their prospects. MRBA's main source of funding is its annual charity auction.

Roberton (pictured) takes on the trustee role alongside her position as MD of sample and panel provider respondi. She joined the firm in 2011, with more than a decade's experience gained at companies such as eRewards, Ethnos and The iD Factor. At the MRBA, Roberton says she is looking forward to working with Marketing Manager Rossanne Lee-Bertram to increase the organisation's profile and reach further, especially among a younger audience.

She replaces Robson, who has left the Management Committee after ten years, during which time she helped set up the Helping Researchers in Need fundraising week, and oversaw the setting up of the launch and marketing for MRBA Skills. Chairman Ian Brace added: 'We're delighted to welcome Jenni to the MRBA. She has extensive experience in our industry, is very well connected, and as a strong advocate of social media, we hope she will help build on the strong position Sue has built for us by generating even more awareness for the MRBA's work across the industry'.
