Boen Takes MD Role at Escalent
US firm Escalent has appointed TrueSample co-founder Dyna Boen as Managing Director of the Consumer, Tech and Telecom divisions. She takes over the role from Paul Hartley, who has moved into the newly created position of Executive Vice President of Sales.
 The company now known as Escalent was formed when research firms Morpace and Market Strategies International were acquired and merged in 2018 by private equity firm STG (Symphony Technology Group). The firm combines proprietary data capture methods and technologies with industry expertise and a visualization toolset.
Boen, who has been consulting with Escalent for the past few months, previously worked at ad measurement specialist Survata (now known as Upwave) as Chief Customer Officer, prior to which she co-founded mobile-based consumer engagement and insights firm UBMobile (sold to Critical Mix in 2018), and online data quality provider TrueSample (acquired by Imperium in 2017). Earlier, she was VP of Federated Sample (now known as Lucid), and worked for MarketTools and Zoomerang (both acquired by SurveyMonkey), where she went on to serve as Head of Sales. In addition, Boen also co-founded the WIRexec Leadership Summit, and she currently serves on the Board of WIRe (Women In Research).
She takes over the MD role from Hartley, who will now be responsible for leading sales effectiveness. Before joining Escalent in 2013, he was VP, Telecom & Tech at comScore, and he led the North American office at LGR Telecommunications.
