WebTrends Promises Deep Insights into Social Media

Traffic analysis firm WebTrends has partnered with social media monitoring analysis service Radian6, to help clients marry their onsite customer data with deeper insights into brand conversations and trends in social media.

WebTrends Social Measurement includes Radian6's 'As-It-Happens' alerts and workflow management capabilities, part of the latter's social media monitoring and analysis solution which offers to help companies to listen, share, learn, and engage their customers across the entire social web.

The partners say that through the new service, businesses will have access to a complete view of customer engagement, both in terms of what's happening within their own data - such as web site analysis, PPC and ad campaigns and direct marketing efforts - and what's happening outside their domain across the social web.

'This is an exciting example of how we can help companies embrace the potential of the online space,' said WebTrends VP of Marketing Jascha Kaykas-Wolff. 'The partnership allows our customers to track both activity related to their own site, and conversations happening on blogs, multimedia sites, social networks, and microblogs like Twitter.'

Last month, WebTrends partnered with IBM to integrate its collection and analysis of visitor behavior data into the computing giant's WebSphere Portal software.
