In the US, global market research firm ORC has appointed Nancy Bray as Research Director in its technology practice, based in the San Francisco office.

Owned by database giant Infogroup, ORC (Opinion Research Corporation) has offices across the US, Europe and Asia Pacific. The firm recently teamed up with social media software specialist Mzinga to create online market research communities for customer and employee research.

Bray joins with more than 12 years’ market research industry experience, having spent the last eight years at Hewlett Packard, where she most recently worked as Program Manager of the worldwide consumer insights group. Prior to this, she was a Market Research Analyst and Supervisor at travel firm Globus & Cosmos.

In her new role, Bray will focus on bringing her client-side experience to ORC customers in the Silicon Valley area, and work with other team members to expand the firm’s presence there.

‘Nancy brings a great mix of both client-side and research agency experience to ORC,’ stated the firm’s President Gerard Miodus. ‘Her track record in successfully using customer feedback to drive strategy, combined with her passion for the customer and her proven ability to deliver superior research results makes her a valuable asset to ORC and to our clients.’
