In Australia, media agency Initiative has appointed Damian Vanderwolf to the new position of Quantitative Research Manager.

Vanderwolf joins from Galaxy Research, where he managed client relationships and the analysis and presentation of data. Previous, he was an Account Executive at Survey Sampling International (SSI), overseeing Australian branch operations.

During his career, Vanderwolf has also held business development, analyst and research positions at Qualified Opinions, Lightspeed Research, Millward Brown and the Australian Bureau of Statistics.

In his new role, he reports to Director of Marketing Analytics, Clare Fernando.

‘We are further strengthening what is probably the industry’s most extensive research team,’ stated CEO Roger Camplisson. ‘As the media environment becomes more complex we’re finding that tailored research solutions for our clients offer the sharpest insights on which to develop communication strategies and make media investments.’

Last month, Initiative appointed Dr Phil Booth, formerly Head of the Qualitative Research team at Pollinate, as its Consumer Insights Director.
