Senior Changes for Ebiquity

Media and marketing analytics firm Ebiquity has promoted Peter Cornelius to Managing Director for Australia and New Zealand, filling the shoes of Richard Basil-Jones who is moving to London as the group's global President.

Richard Basil-JonesEbiquity is based in London, and employs around 750 people in twenty offices worldwide. Its Sydney office was established with the acquisition of Faulkner Media Management seven years ago this week. Earlier this year it announced it was selling its Advertising Intelligence (AdIntel) division to Nielsen for GBP 26 million, and the deal was provisionally cleared last week.

Cornelius joined the company three years ago as Director of Client Service - Media for ANZ; while Basil-Jones (pictured) was hired in 2013 as MD, Advertising Intelligence Asia Pacific. Both men formerly held Managing Director roles at Nielsen.

Basil-Jones, quoted on www.mumbrella.com.au , said of Cornelius, 'His experience, calm hand and focus on our clients has helped build and shape our media practice to be the respected, independent media consultancy we have today'. Group CEO Michael Karg said of Basil-Jones in turn: 'I have worked closely with Richard over the recent years and know that his passion for the business and people leadership qualities will bring the right focus and success to our global business'.

The London role gives Basil-Jones oversight of regions including North America, Europe and Asia Pacific; as well as the Group's Practices - Media, Analytics, Tech and (for the moment) Ad Intel. He will form part of the senior management team alongside Karg and former STV CEO Rob Woodward, appointed in February as Chairman Designate.
