Kantar's Brown Joins TVSquared as Executive Advisor

Kantar Media's former Global CEO Andy Brown has joined cross-platform TV ad measurement specialist TVSquared as an Executive Advisor.

Andy BrownTVSquared's ADvantage analytics platform enables clients in more than 75 countries to quantify the impact of television slots, tie them to business outcomes, and optimize ad performance across TV 'everywhere'. The firm measures reach, attribution and outcomes, helps identify the right audiences, and measures viewing across screens and platforms. Earlier this year, the company launched a fully-automated cookie-less solution called ADvantage XP, measuring ad impact for linear television, addressable and OTT/CTV.

Brown (pictured) left Kantar last year after WPP agreed to sell 60% of the business to private equity firm Bain Capital. He began his research career as a trainee at AGB and then moved to Anglia Television, followed by BMRB. During his eleven years at the agency, Brown's responsibilities included the international expansion of the consumer TGI survey into Europe and Latin America - an initiative which led to the formation of the KMR Group and his subsequent appointment as its CEO in 2001. Following WPP's acquisition of TNS in 2008, Brown formed the Board of Kantar Media and was named CEO; and he also served as part of the Kantar Operating Board and WPP Digital Advisory Group. After leaving Kantar, Brown joined the Solutions Advisory Board of first-party data and insights platform Dynata.

Commenting on the appointment, CEO and founder Calum Smeaton said: 'Andy's unparalleled understanding of measurement across media channels, as well as his stellar record of growing global companies, are powerful resources for TVSquared as we scale worldwide delivery of ADvantage and continue to push the industry forward in terms of transparency, accountability and proof of performance'.
