Phil Steggals to lead Fiftyfive5 APAC Expansion

Australian insight consultancy Fiftyfive5 has appointed former Kadence MD Phil Steggals as Head of Consulting for the APAC region. He is based in Singapore.

Fiftyfive5 was launched in 2010 by three former Directors of The Leading Edge: Karen Phillips, Mark Sundquist and Darren Kemp, and in 2018 it merged with brand development and consumer insights agency GalKal. In May this year, it acquired The Leading Edge (TLE) and The Digital Edge (TDE) from marcoms group Enero, for $1.35m in cash.

Steggals (pictured) joins after more than a decade at B2B full service and fieldwork agency Kadence, based in Singapore and latterly serving as Global Head of Research & Strategy, as well as MD of the Singapore office. During this time he built a team of 35, delivering insight solutions for a wide range of clients across the APAC region.

In his new role, Steggals is charged with leading the continued expansion and development of Fiftyfive5's APAC consumer insight consulting capability. Sundquist comments: 'Over the past ten years we have worked extensively throughout APAC for our domestic, regional and global clients and have had a team in Singapore to support and enable that work. Our client's focus on the region is growing and in response we are dialling up our capability and capacity to deliver great work for them in APAC. We are excited to have Phil on board to lead that build for us out of Singapore'.
