Comscore Revenue Flat in Q1 as Divisions Balance

Comscore has reported revenue of $85.3 million for the first quarter of 2026, flat compared to a year earlier. Growth in cross-platform solutions and Local TV was offset by declines in traditional measurement products. Adjusted EBITDA was down around a third to $5.0 million.

Jon CarpenterContent and Ad Measurement accounted for six sevenths of total revenue, almost unchanged from the previous year Q1 at $73.1m, but within this cross-platform measurement rose 30.4% to $12.6m, while syndicated audience products saw a decline of 4.7% to $60.5m despite a slight increase in income from the firm's movies business (revenue up 6% to $10m). The other seventh part of Comscore's total revenue is accounted for by Research & Insight Solutions, with Q1's $12.2m representing a decline of 2.7% year-on-year. Overall revenue fell just 0.5%.

Chief Exec Jon Carpenter (pictured) says the figures 'reflect the ongoing transition of Comscore's business mix, with declines in traditional measurement products offset by growth in cross-platform and Local TV.' Carpenter says the business announced several new client wins in Local TV, 'continuing the strong momentum we've had in our core currency offering.' He concludes: 'Looking forward, I remain bullish on continued cross-platform growth and our efforts toward establishing Comscore as the standard for modern measurement.'

The company, which also trod water financially speaking in 2025 (revenue flat at $357.5 million) has been conducting a strategic review of its business since last summer, and says it will report on its progress in a conference call 'on or before May 29th'.
