DVJ Hires to Boost Shopper Insights Offer in UK
DVJ Insights has hired Nicola Ball as a consultant in the UK, strengthening its shopper and innovation expertise, and supporting continued growth in the region.
DVJ specialises in brand, communication, innovation and shopper research, and has offices across Europe, including the UK, Germany, Spain, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, and the Netherlands. The firm combines advanced data science, creative research design, and strategic consultancy to help brands achieve measurable growth.
Ball's expertise is focused on understanding how shopper behaviour influences brand and category growth, retail environments and innovation strategies. She began her MR career at what was then TNS Worldpanel, in 2007, then moved to Australia, where she spent two years as Shopper Insight Manager at Colgate-Palmolive, and around three as Customer Insight Manager for Woolworths at beverages company Lion. Since then she has returned to the UK and spent nearly a decade in shopper insights roles at IGD (the Institute of Grocery Distribution), providing strategic direction and commercial recommendations to FMCG suppliers and retailers.
In her new role at DVJ, she will help brands identify, develop and refine innovations to meet evolving market needs, while uncovering real-time shopper decision-making. Managing Consultant UK Jemma Toynebee-Smith comments: 'Nicola is a great addition to our UK team. With her strong experience in shopper research, retail environments and commercial consultancy, she strengthens our ability to support clients in understanding how shopper behaviour can drive brand and category growth.'
