Social media and word-of-mouth technology firm Bazaarvoice has hired Chris Lynch as Corporate Controller. He joins from Vignette, where since 2005 he held the same title and was responsible for the company’s entire global accounting function.

He spent eight years at Vignette in a variety of finance roles in both the UK and in Texas. He previously held several senior roles in the global finance team at J.D. Edwards.

Bazaarvoice now has 400 employees and more than 525 clients around the globe, putting it at ‘a very exciting stage in its growth’ according to Lynch.

Ken Saunders, CFO of Bazaarvoice, welcomes Lynch’s ‘strong public accounting background with demonstrated strength in building quality teams’ as part of his drive to build a world-class finance organization to manage the firm’s growth. CEO and founder Brett Hurt adds: ‘Chris brings a tremendous amount of global finance experience at public companies to our team, and his energy, passion, and integrity are unmatched.’

Headquartered in Austin, the company has offices in London, Paris, and Singapore and is online at www.bazaarvoice.com . In the last two weeks it has appointed former Kraft marketing leader Carole Irgang to its Advisory Board and Andy Leaver as International Vice President, to grow its European and Asian operations.
