Valient Solutions
January 14 2010

In the US, market research and public opinion polling firm Valient Solutions has appointed former Yankelovich exec Andrew Smith and former JD Power & Associates exec Michael Kuppe as Vice Presidents of Client Services.

Valient Solutions was launched in 2007 by auto research veteran Scott D. Upham, who had previously held senior roles at Harris Interactive and JD Power & Associates.

Smith joins the firm with more than 15 years’ experience in the market research and financial services industries. Prior to joining, he was with Yankelovich for three years, where he served as a Senior Account Executive, responsible for client services, customer satisfaction and business development.

In his new role, Smith will lead the company’s growth in the southeast US through business development, marketing and client services.

‘Andy is a seasoned market research business development professional with extensive experience in the financial services sector,’ said Upham. ‘His addition to our business development team will help expand our research offerings and continue the rapid growth we have experienced since our launch in 2007.’

Kuppe brings more than 20 years’ market research industry experience to his new role. For the past 8 years he held a senior sales and business development role with auto research specialist JD Power & Associates. As Executive Director, Client Services, he was responsible for client services, customer satisfaction, and business development for numerous automotive OEM and Tier 1-2-3 supplier accounts.

In his new role, Kuppe will be responsible for developing business in the Midwest US market.

Upham comments: ‘Mike is a well respected market research business development professional with a long history of developing relationships with corporate decision makers’.
