Former Harris Exec Launches Consultancy

Scott D. Upham, formerly a Senior VP at Harris Interactive, has started his own market research and management consultancy, Valient Solutions, based in Rochester, NY. He has worked in the automotive sector for much of his two decades in MR. Before Harris, Upham worked at J.D. Power & Associates and Providata Automotive. He began his career with Ford Motor Company and subsequently held marketing positions with several automotive suppliers including TRW, Takata and Kelsey-Hayes. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Eastern Michigan University and has completed graduate studies at Pennsylvania State University. Upham says the new firm will make use of ‘the latest cutting-edge technologies’ and provide Internet-enabled services to give clients ‘fast turnaround, deep insightful analysis and value-priced solutions’. He adds: ‘Providing our clients with a truly deep understanding of their customer relationships, brand loyalty, communications effectiveness and product/service satisfaction is a key element of our solution.
