In Australia, international online data collection and panel specialist Research Now has appointed Rosemary Cals and Deepti Mishra as Project Managers, and Alex Vaidhyan as a Data Analyst. Research Now, which opened its offices in Australia in 2005, last year appointed Martin Filz as Managing Director, Asia Pacific based in Sydney. The firm is owned by US-based online panel e-Rewards. Cals began her market research industry career in 1987 as a Coder with Colmar & Brunton Research in New Zealand, before setting up the firm’s subsidiary Consumer Link in 1990. Latterly, she worked there as Business Development Director, in charge of larger and more complex client projects. In her new role, she is responsible for coordination of individual online projects and for ensuring the quality assurance process is followed for each project. Mishra joins from TNS India, where for the past two years she has worked as a Research Executive, handling PAPI, CATI and API projects. Vaidhyan began in the industry in 2003 as a Data Analyst with NFO MBL (now TNS and WPP/Kantar). He then served as a Data Processor at MarketTools, during which time he helped set up the firm’s office in Hyderabad, India.
