Australian Panel and Offices for Research Now

September 14 2005
Online fieldwork and panel specialist Research Now has announced the launch of an Australian online panel with access to 60,000 household members. The panel will be managed locally from new Research Now offices in Sydney and Brisbane, headed up by Australian Jason Buchanan.

At c.67%, Australia’s Internet penetration is one of the highest in the world, and demand for the new service has been strong both from the country itself and among Research Now’s UK and European clients.

Buchanan, currently a client services Director based at the firm’s London headquarters, commented ‘With a population of 20 million and an expanding internet audience, there is great potential for online research in Australia. We are looking forward to providing access to these consumers to the Australian market’.

MD Andrew Cooper calls the launch ‘an exciting step’ and says ‘The presence of native speakers in the Asia Pacific time zone will also allow us to provide 24 hour service levels to our clients - for example, a European quote request can come in at 6pm and be returned by 6am the following day’.

Research Now, which floated on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange in August 2005, operates a flagship UK panel of 270,000 consumers as well as the ‘Valued Opinions’ family of panels across countries across Europe (UK, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Ireland and Austria), comprising in excess of 700,000 panellists. It is online at www.researchnow.co.uk.
