French pharma and healthcare specialist Cegedim Strategic Data (CSD) has appointed Dr Anne-Marie Masquelier as Global Medical Research Director of Medical Research CRO activities worldwide.
Founded in 1969, Paris-headquartered Cegedim employs 8,600 people in more than 80 countries and generated revenue of EUR 874 million in 2009.
Earlier this year, Cegedim Dendrite – which supplies CRM solutions for the life sciences industry acquired US healthcare data and research firm SK&A.
Masquelier is a medical doctor who most recently worked at biometric firm Genethon as General Manager. Prior to this she was General Manager France and Southern Europe at MDS Pharma Services, and CEO at Omnicare Clinical Research. Earlier in her career, Masquelier worked as Clinical Research Director at Pfizer subsidiary Searle. Her speciality is endocrinology.
In her new role, Masquelier is responsible for the development of CSD’s Medical Research CRO activities and strategy worldwide, covering clinical observational and epidemiological research studies. She will also manage the firm’s medial research teams.
