Boston, US-based video analytics specialist Visible Measures has opened an office in New York, led by former DoubleClick executive Marc Schraer as Senior Vice President of Sales and Account Management.

Visible Measures provides Internet video publishers, advertisers and viral marketers with data on how online video audiences engage with both content assets and advertising placements.

Earlier this year, the firm incorporated HTML5 video measurement into its existing services, to enable analysis of video content and ads consumed on next-generation mobile devices such as Apple’s iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch.

Its new office, based in New York's Flatiron District, is staffed by Schraer and a team of sales representatives. Schraer was previously the Team Manager for Sales and Account Management at Google-owned DoubleClick, where he was responsible for global relationship development and revenue growth with major advertising holding companies.

Prior to this, he served in business development roles at Cendant Corporation, Multimedia Solutions, and Knight Securities, and held media planning positions at Bozell Worldwide and FCB Advertising.

‘With his years of leadership experience at Google and DoubleClick, Marc is a seasoned industry veteran who is ideally suited to lead our growing sales and account management groups. We are incredibly excited to have him join the Visible Measures team,’ states CEO Brian Shin.

Additionally, the company has appointed Social Media CEO and Google veteran Kurt Abrahamson to its Board of Directors.

Prior to joining Social Media, Abrahamson served as Director of the Content Media Group at Google, where he led the global launch of AdSense.
