Horizon Media Hires DePalma for Video Analytics Role

In New York, media services agency Horizon Media has appointed former IRI exec Greg DePalma as Vice President of Advanced Video Analytics, based in its channel insights practice the WHERE Group.

Greg DePalmaDePalma (pictured) joins from retail and healthcare data giant IRI, where he served as SVP, working with advertisers, content owners and agencies to sell, plan and buy audiences, while analysing the impact of various campaigns by measuring incremental sales and key brand metrics. Prior to this, he was VP of Audience Insights in TiVo's Research practice; and before that he founded DePalMix Sonic Branding and Entertainment, a branding, licensing and production company. Earlier, he held positions at Lending Tree, Millward Brown and Nielsen.

In his new role, DePalma will work with Horizon's clients and internal investment teams to find the right partnerships and technologies to further increase efficiencies in data-driven audience buying. He will also collaborate with the agency's Advanced TV practice, to use inventory and create value across linear television channels, while offering clients data-driven audience targeting capabilities.

He reports to Eric Blankfein, Chief of the WHERE Group, who comments: 'Greg is at the forefront of the video analytics revolution. We are excited to work with him to bring the best advanced targeting and technologies to our clients as the space continues to rapidly evolve'.
