HealthFocus President Barbara Katz to Retire

Barbara Katz, President of US-based health and nutrition trends MR company HealthFocus International (HFI), is stepping down from the role at the end of the year, to be succeeded by General Manager Steve Walton.

The firm, which is a division of full service agency Irwin Broh & Associates, focuses on understanding health and nutrition trends and applying its findings to pinpoint new marketing opportunities. Katz joined in 2006 from Wyeth Nutrition, where she served as Senior Director, New Products, studying trends and consumer needs. Earlier, she spent nearly a decade at Sensient Flavors, latterly as Sales and Marketing Manager for Australia and New Zealand. She retires from HealthFocus on January 1st to travel and pursue further education, but will continue to advise HealthFocus via its newly established Nutrition Advisory Board.

Walton joined the firm in 2007 with extensive experience in the consumer goods industry, including more than fifteen years of marketing and general management experience at Unilever and ConAgra. In a statement, Katz said: 'HFI looks forward to 2017 and a new collection of reports and custom research that will deliver insights and information that will continue to be at the forefront of health and nutrition'.
