NPD and Tru Optik in Movie and Video Games Partnership

Retail information firm The NPD Group has partnered with OTT (over-the-top) audience measurement and data management specialist Tru Optik, to better understand digital demand for movies and video games.

Karyn SchoenbartThrough the deal, NPD will bolster its Entertainment Market Information and Analytic solutions, which help studios, content distributors, retailers and others in the entertainment industry understand shifting tastes and trends. NPD will gain access to Tru Optik's first-party data set on the consumption of movie and video games through OTT TV and Connected TV; as well as its data on the global consumption of digital long-form entertainment content.
