Egyptian Office for Mercator XXI

International business development consultancy Mercator XXI, launched only last month in the US, has appointed Hesham Wahby to expand its operations into the Middle East, from a base in Cairo.

The firm offers advice on government relations and public policy, in addition to market access and market research. Its formation was announced on DRNO on 7th May.

Mr. Wahby, whose background is in consulting and business development, will serve as Principal for Egypt & Middle East. He worked previously in consulting services for clients in the semiconductor industry with Infineon Technologies in Munich and 1st Silicon in Malaysia.

Mercator XXI's President and CEO Christopher Caine, a 25-year IBM veteran, comments: 'With the establishment of our Middle East presence in Cairo, Mercator XXI is extending our commitment to help clients understand and engage the global economy.
