Motally Gets Cash for Mobile Analytics Platform
June 9 2009

In the US, mobile Internet analytics firm Motally has received Series A financing. The money will be used to scale its platform, which captures insight into mobile web users and helps attract new customers. The funding amount was not disclosed.

San Francisco-headquartered Motally was founded in 2008, and employs a team of mobile industry veterans including M:Metrics co-founder Seamus McAteer. The company’s patent-pending technology provides tracking and reporting usage statistics on mobile web sites.

‘Our analytics platform connects publishers and advertisers with their users by delivering complete insight into the mobile web user,’ stated CEO and founder Arte Merritt. ‘Tracking complete user behavior throughout a visitor session allows us to report powerful and actionable information that publishers can use to improve product offerings and refine marketing campaigns.’

The financing has been led by BlueRun Ventures, a venture capital fund focused on Internet and media, mobile, enterprise software, and semiconductors and components. Angel investor Ron Conway, an investor in Twitter, was also involved in the deal.
