Northern Light Debuts Market Intel Service

July 9 2009

US research portal provider Northern Light has launched a new service which it says unifies a firm's tracking of product markets, competitors, events, and trends into a single solution.

The firm's research professionals customize the new MI Insight solution to a client's specifications, populate it with content and provide editorial supervision.

The firm's editorial team works with each client to create a framework to capture, organize and present all the elements required. Then Northern Light researchers scour Internet resources, news and licensed research for content to populate and update the portal.

Content could include news headlines, summaries, reports, and industry authority blog posts offering perspective, commentary and analysis. Links to industry associations and events can also be added, as well as to market research resources.

In addition, MI Insight mines competitors' web sites for information such as financial results, company news, strategic plans and mission statements, joint venture and partnership announcements, and marketing materials.

'MI Insight provides one place to go for all the current market intelligence a client needs,' said CEO C. David Seuss. 'Because it concentrates all of this scattered and diverse information, it not only saves an untold amount of time for our client's employees, it raises the market intelligence quotient across the whole organization.'

Northern Light was launched in 1996 to provide research portals, business research content, and search technology. Headquartered in Cambridge, Massachusetts and with a development center in St Petersburg, Russia, the firm is online at www.northernlight.com .
