In the US, social media and blog tracking firm Collective Intellect has raised $3.1m in funding, adding to the $9.6m raised in two previous rounds.
The Boulder, Colorado-based firm provides real-time market intelligence, using a digital communications analytics platform which enables clients to respond to what consumers are saying about their brands online.
This 'listening interface' is available 24x7 with automated e-mail alerts, and allows the tracking of activity, sentiment, author demographics, and emerging conversational themes on digital blogs, boards, news, and micro-blogs.
The firm is co-managed by CEO Don Springer, whose venture capital-backed firm Dante Software was acquired by business process optimization group webMethods in 2003.
Previous Collective Intellect investors include Grotech Capital Group, Appian Ventures, Croghan Investments, and Crawley Hatfield Capital.
