HiveLive Unveils Community Concept Testing Tool

August 5 2009

In the US, social software provider HiveLive has launched a new community application for online concept testing, as part of its suite of qualitative research tools.

John KembelThe application can be used to encourage customers to evaluate new product ideas, product features, package designs, ad spots and marketing messages within an online community setting.

Responses can be structured by an administrator, and can be designated as either open-ended or closed (multiple choice). Administrators can also choose to limit 'group think' by preventing respondents from viewing the answers of their peers.

In addition, the data gathered in the application can be sorted and filtered based on answer, key words, or demographics.

'Using an online community to involve customers in research, development and marketing processes leads to faster, better business decisions,' states CEO John Kembel. 'At the same time, you are building immense loyalty by inviting your customers to connect with each other and pitch in.'

HiveLive is privately held with headquarters in Boulder, Colorado.
