SSI Targets Hard-to-Reach Panelists

August 27 2009

Survey Sampling International (SSI) has introduced a number of outreach programs that engage and recruit in-demand, hard-to-reach segments of the population, such as African Americans, Hispanics, males and teens.

As a result of the move, SSI says its panel is increasingly diverse and representation is more in line with Census distribution.

Expansion in Canada and the US brings North American panels to around 2 million active participants. At present, the firm provides access to 6 million people and manages 27 proprietary communities across Asia Pacific, Europe, Latin America and North America.

Last October, the company launched a new strategy for expanding the availability and diversity of panel members worldwide, through a combination of digital fingerprinting and a set of quality processes SSI uses to address respondent authentication.

The Connecticut-headquartered firm has 16 offices worldwide and is online at www.surveysampling.com .
