medeConnect Appoints for Restructure

In the UK, medeConnect Healthcare Insight, the market research division of Doctors.net.uk, has adopted an account team structure and appointed Nicky Richards and Neil Reynolds to head the two new teams.

Established in September 2005, medeConnect conducts online research with doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals. Its exclusive relationship with medical network Doctors.net.uk provides access to an online community of nearly 165,000 UK doctors.

Richards joins from her previous role as Commercial Director of French pharma data firm Cegedim Strategic Data, prior to which she founded CompuFile before it was purchased by Cegedim in 2005. She began her 20 year career as a Market Researcher at The Boots Company, and has since specialised in the analysis and interpretation of longitudinal patient data.

Reynolds is promoted from his previous role as Research Director of medeConnect.

'The growth of our quant and qual research business has caused us to look at how we can continue to offer the same level of personal service to our clients,' states MD Iain Findlay. 'An account team structure means that clients have the reassurance of dealing regularly with the same people and the appointment of two Client Services Directors means that clients have easy access to two of the brightest brains in the sector.'
