Healthcare Firm Debuts Blogs for Patients and Carers

September 23 2009

In the UK, healthcare and medical market fieldwork agency Healthcare Landscape has launched a series of research blogs where patients and carers can discuss a variety of medical issues on an anonymous basis.

The new 'Resblogs' will enhance the firm's existing patient research community, 'The Patients Voice'. They will be used to engage and measure their targeted audience's opinion, and will also act as an ideas platform, to provide data which can be used to support client proposals, pitches and questionnaire design.

In addition, visual media such as photographs and video can be uploaded onto a Resblog to provide extra stimulus for research programmes.

'Through Resblogs, our clients are able to gain deep and unprompted insight from the opinions and stories of our members,' stated Web Manager Eoin Dowdall. 'These are very useful for research design because they get to the heart of patient needs and enhance the insights provided by the surveys already undertaken.'

London-based Healthcare Landscape recently rolled out its patient and caregiver panel to agencies in the US, and also launched what it believes is the first patient and nurse omnibus.
