Vision Critical Appoints Political Polling Expert

In the US, research and technology firm Vision Critical has appointed Ashley Grosse as Senior Vice President and Managing Director of its US public affairs practice Angus Reid Strategies, based in the San Francisco office.

Grosse joins from YouGov Polimetrix's Special Projects Group, where as VP, she specialized in large-scale public affairs research projects.

Before this, she helped design and manage campaign studies for the Center of the Studies of Elections and Democracy, prior to which, she served as Director of Studies for the American National Election Studies - the US's largest survey on political attitudes - and was a Reporting Manager for Voter News Service. She has a PhD in Political Science from Washington State University.

In addition to directing US Public Affairs, in her new role, Grosse will be part of the Global Public Affairs team, helping to develop the company's public affairs capacity in Europe, Asia and beyond.

'Ashley has a unique blend of analytical background and experience in online research that makes her exactly the right person for this job,' stated Vision Critical CEO Angus Read.

Vision Critical recently announced a 75% increase in first-half gross revenue, versus the same period in 2008. During the period, the firm hired 50 new employees, developed six new technology-based research products, and established national consumer panels in the US and UK.
