Leapfrog Restructures for Growth

October 1 2009
UK agency Leapfrog Research & Planning has restructured to create three distinct business areas and reorganised its senior management team to oversee the changes, which are designed to optimize growth and client service.

Sarah BuckleSarah Buckle has been promoted to the post of Client Services Director, responsible for all client management and marketing. She joined the firm in 2008 from Volvo, where she was Head of Marketing and Market Research. During her career, she also worked at Scottish Courage and Mars, as well as at a number of research agencies.

Under the new structure, separate teams will manage the agency’s portfolio of clients across health and well being, retail and brand, and communications and media. Each division will have its own dedicated Board Director:
  • Rupert Blackwell becomes Group Director – Brand, Communications & Media, overseeing a number of key clients.
  • Debra Walmsley has been appointed as Group Director – Retail and Engagement to manage the agency’s 17 year relationship with Tesco, as well as many other leading retail brands, and
  • Claire Thomas has been named Group Director – Health & Wellbeing and joins the Leapfrog board.
Blackwell, Walmsely and Thomas will also continue in their roles as Associate Partners of the Research Group of parent company Cello.

Co-founders Judy Taylor and Andrea Berlowitz, alongside Commercial Director Sue Laing, complete the senior management team.

‘Leapfrog is not just surviving this economic downturn but positively thriving – this new team reflects that success as well as our future ambitions,’ stated CEO Taylor. ‘We are restructuring in order to continue to align our business with our clients’ needs and to maximise opportunities for growth globally across our major market sectors.’

Leapfrog, which has offices in Windsor, London and New York, is online at www.leapfrogresearch.co.uk .
