Digital Signs Incorporate Audience Measurement

In Singapore, out-of-home signage measurement firm 1-2-1VIEW has launched what it describes as 'the world's first all-in-one platform' that combines digital signage and audience measurement in a single screen solution.

Playscreen will analyse passers-byThe new Playscreen unit incorporates the firm's InterFace Viewer Validation system through a standard web camera and advanced IP video technology. This counts the volume of footfall traffic at each point-of-display, to determine the number of people passing by.

Playscreen can also determine how long people looked at the display, and whether viewers are male or female; and can report on which displays receive the least traffic, to enable owners to relocate them to better spots.
